❤ 1 Insight From Me
I have not been very productive recently.
Fortunately, I have the habit of writing a diary every day, so I flipped through the recent diary, and found that I fell into a vicious circle:
I wake up late every morning, and after a set of morning routines, I start working very late. Then, because I ate breakfast late, I also ate late for lunch. After eating I didn’t want to do anything, so I watched cat videos, and another hour passed. Then because I felt sleepy, I had to catch up on sleep again. Then I continued to eat late for dinner, and after I finished eating, I realized that I hadn’t done anything today, so I started rushing to work, and by the time I realize, it was easily 11 o’clock, so I couldn’t get up early the next day …
A cold rush sent down my spine, Why?
Because these little things don’t seem to have much impact, but its core is a magic word-“compound interest effect”. The little things you do every day may seem small in the short term, but will make a big difference in the long run. This is also the core of the gap between people. There is no such thing as getting rich overnight, only accumulation.
- Brushing your teeth every day, you can’t see much difference now, but 20 years later, you can still eat crabs. People who don’t brush their teeth can only watch you while drooling.
- Drink 2 glasses of water a day, and you will be fine after a few years. People who don’t drink water get gallstones and lose their gallbladder.
- Go for a walk every day. After a few years, you will be full of energy. People who sit and do not exercise start to go to doctors.
- Write a gratitude diary every day. After one year, you will be a person full of happiness. Those who don’t write will still be hateful toward others.
- Meditate for 10 minutes a day, and after a year, your mind will be very peaceful. People who don’t meditate are still anxious and overthinking.
- Read 10 pages of books every day, that’s 18 books a year. After a few years, people around you will say you are a different person full of wisdom.
The above 6 things only take one hour in total a day. Suppose you do these 6 things every day, and another person uses this 1 hour to watch TikTok. The difference of one hour per day will result in a huge gap in all aspects of life above.
90% of Buffett’s wealth is obtained after the age of 65. Do you know how old he started investing? 11 years old. You can’t see the gap at first, but by the time you realize it, you will find it’s already impossible to catch up.
The little things you do every day are actually huge.
So I also adjusted my schedule in the past two days, and started to go to bed early and get up early.
❤ 1 Insight From Others
It is so easy to overestimate the importance of one defining moment and underestimate the value of making small improvements on a daily basis. Too often, we convince ourselves that massive success requires massive action. Meanwhile, improving by 1 percent isn’t particularly notable—sometimes it isn’t even noticeable—but it can be far more meaningful, especially in the long run.

❤ 1 Small Step To Take
“Things I do every day”
Think about the things you do every day, write down these things and how much time you spend on each of them.
Then go through them. Which of these things are necessary? Which are unnecessary? Which are taking too long? Which could be replaced with new little things that will benefit you better in the long run?
Then, replace in small steps, only replace 1~2 small things at a time, don’t think about making a big move to make earth-shaking changes at once.
If you can’t remember what you do every day, now is a good time to start journaling.
Your self in 1 year will thank you now.
At least, don’t let him scold you.
PS: What does “mentally strong” mean?
