Reality: Can I Really Do This?

1 Insight From Me

In the past week, I wrote 5 articles and posted 5 videos. It has been the most productive week since I started this website.

But it was also this week that I fell into self-doubt.

Why are my video views so low? What did I do wrong? What areas can be improved? Is the content not good enough? Or is the form unattractive?

Or, am I not good for this at all?

Fortunately, I am the mindset guy, so I took 3 deep breaths, sat down, and started asking myself these questions:

  • First of all, why are you doing this in the first place?
    ——Because I have experienced depression, anxiety, perfectionism, and all these mindsets. I know how painful life is under these mindsets. I have also gone through the process of changing my mentality from pain to happiness, and the ultimate goal of life is happiness, It just depends on your mindset, so I want to share the useful things I have learned along the way, hoping to help others. If I don’t share them, I will feel trapped.
  • Is this thing valuable?
    — Yes. How to face all the things life throws at us should be the first lesson taught in every school and every family, but many people never learn this until the end of their lives.
  • Is what you are doing consistent with your own values?
    — Yes . Authenticity, and telling the truth.
  • Do you like doing this?
    — Yes.
  • So, do you want to continue doing this?
    — Yes.

Then I reminded myself, “Growth Mindset, bro”, ups and downs are so normal. As time goes by, as long as you keep doing it and keep researching, you will definitely create your own value in the end.

Then I ate a big mango and went back to reading.

1 Small Step To Take

“Back to the starting point”

If you also have self-doubt, go back to the starting point, start from your heart, and ask yourself these 3 questions:

  1. Why did you do this in the first place?
  2. Is this thing valuable?
  3. Do you like doing this?

You see, I didn’t ask the question, “Can you do this?”

Because, as long as it is the right thing, just do it and time will give you the answer. Asking yourself this question now will only get the wrong answer from that voice of self-doubt in your head.

PS: What does “mentally strong” mean?
